Award in Food Safety Level 2 (RSPH)
This 1 day course is designed for anyone working within the catering or hospitality industry in a setting where food is prepared, cooked and served.
This qualification will give you knowledge and understanding of the importance of food hygiene, associated food hazards, good hygiene practice and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. Holders will know how to maintain good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food.
This comprehensive training course covers all aspects of food safety and has been developed to suit employees in all types of food businesses.
Whether you produce, prepare, cook, serve, store or distribute food, you have an important responsibility to ensure the health of consumer’s health and safety is protected and that all food served or sold is safe to eat.

- Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
- Cooking, hot holding and reheating
- Food handling
- Principles of safe food storage
- Food premises and equipment.
Includes SFBB Folder information and set up (where applicable), plus information on current allergen regulations. Accredited training by Royal Society for Public Health.
The assessment for this course will take place at the end of the day with a multiple choice exam. Upon successful completion a certificate will be issued to you.
Tea and coffee is provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
