The Let’s Do Business Group has won a three-year contract to operate Locate East Sussex, the county’s business support and inward investment service.

The south east’s leading provider of business advice, training and finance, was awarded the contract following a tender process, having successfully operated the service for the last four years.

Philip Johnson, Director of Locate East Sussex, said: “We are delighted to have won this contract and will continue to work hard to support business growth and help create jobs in East Sussex, ensuring a thriving local economy that attracts new companies into the county.

Since 2014, the team has supported the creation of over 820 new permanent jobs have been created in the county. In addition, some £5.8million in grants and loans has been provided for growing businesses in the county through a business support programme delivered by Locate East Sussex.

This financial support has been matched by over £24.8million from local companies, representing a total boost of £30.7million to the county’s economy.

The service offers free, objective advice on commercial property decisions and access to funding for growth acceleration.

The team is based in Ocean House, St Leonards, alongside other Let’s Do Business Group (LDBG) services such as Let’s Do Business Finance, Start-Up, Training, B2B Exhibitions and Business East Sussex.

Marketing Assistant

To support the Marketing Manager and Locate East Sussex team and LDBG in promotion of all services available through the group externally.

Marketing Manager

To develop and lead implementation of the Locate East Sussex marketing strategy within the prescribed budget.

Location Services Manager

To assist with the delivery and development of all aspects of business advice to new and existing businesses throughout the region.

Innovation & Partnership Manager

To assist with the delivery and development of all aspects of business advice, particularly in relation to business innovation, to new and existing businesses throughout East Sussex and those looking to locate within the county, brokering relationships between business and HE/FE institutions.
