National Enterprise Network Awards 2022

Emily Wright wins ‘Enterprise Support Champion of the Year’

We are delighted to announce that Let’s Do Business Group Business Manager Emily Wright has won ‘Enterprise Support Champion of the year’ at the 2022 National Enterprise Network Awards.

The National Federation of Enterprise Agencies was formed in 1993 to provide national representation for the enterprise support sector to key stakeholders in central government. Now, as the enterprise support sector has developed from traditional agencies offering independent, impartial advice to include Chambers of Commerce and specialist enterprise providers, the rebranded ‘National Enterprise Network’ is focused on highlighting the valuable work that support organisations do to aid businesses across the UK.

The NEN Awards were established over 10 years ago to celebrate excellence in the delivery of enterprise support, and to encourage the exchange of good practice and the development of improved services and organisations. Above all, they support and celebrate the achievements of its members.

The ‘Enterprise Support Champion of the Year’ award is awarded to a person who goes above and beyond in support of enterprise, and has made a huge difference in their community this year.

National Enterprise Network Award Winner

Let’s Do Business Group nominated Emily, to highlight her continuous effort and the passion she demonstrates on a daily basis when supporting businesses in the South East. Throughout her career she has had to overcome a series of challenges, but through her determination and enthusiasm, she has established a fulfilling career doing something she loves, whilst continually improving herself through a series of qualifications. Having now been a Business Manager for 3 years, Emily provides an invaluable contribution to the team, supporting over 100 businesses across East Sussex, driving their potential growth and helping to create vital jobs for the county.

Emily is incredibly good at listening to what a business really needs, and ensuring the support she provides enables their end goal. Her approachable and understanding nature, and ability to adapt her work style with different types of people has given her access to industries and clients that the Group perhaps hadn’t worked that closely with before. Her work particularly with the Fishing Fleets at Hastings and Newhaven has been exceptional, helping them complete the paperwork required to access funding.

“I am over the moon to have won this award. I cannot thank the Let’s Do Business Group enough for supporting me and encouraging me to carry on developing myself. I wouldn’t be able to achieve this award without the support from them and from the rest of the team!”

Emily Wright, Business Manager, Let’s Do Business Group

If you had told me when I first met Emily that she would become one of our best Business Managers I would have been surprised. She has overcome so much in her life and yet you won’t find a more committed individual to the business and her clients. I have seen her access grants for clients that there is no way the businesses would have been able to apply for without her tenacity.
— Graham Marley, Chief Executive, Let's Do Business Group
Congratulations to all of our winners, it’s been humbling to see all of the hard work that has taken place across the Network and I am very pleased we have been able to gather together in person again to celebrate these amazing achievements
