Celebrating the release of the Responsible Finance’s impact report, Setting Up For Success, Let’s Do Business Group is proud as a Community Development Finance Institution to make our communities richer, more vibrant places, and unlocking the tools necessary for businesses to not only survive but thrive through to 2021 and beyond.

Responsible Finance’s impact report, Setting Up For Success, details the impact CDFI sector with explicit references to how Let’s Do Business Group have contributed to delivering economic growth, job creation and support that has been made available for businesses through this unprecedented period of instability, keeping firms afloat and even helping many to launch.

Powered by innovative thinking, strategy and acquiring the right finance, over 6,000 start-ups, businesses and social enterprises have had over £263 million of investment, from schemes such as Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) and Start Up Loans. Setting Up For Success report also highlights the ongoing non-financial support that has been given countless companies over the past few years.

Our Support

Showcased in the report, our support for companies has allowed for unlocking striving growth. Digital marketing agency Ventura Digital, which has offices in Essex and in Shanghai, has shown that companies disrupted by the pandemic are now able to utilise and continue their growth plans.

Our work with EKKIST Architects, a Guildford based firm, has also been mentioned, where the impact of our support has enabled them to grow, invest in their future and be featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 lists as one of Europe’s most innovative companies.

As a part of our drive for more inclusion within our communities, Let’s Do Business Group have been leading with the charge by delivering noteworthy programmes such as Her Biz, a free programme in partnership with NatWest, giving female entrepreneurs the tools to set up, plan and launch their own business with the knowledge, confidence and active mentor support. One of our previous winners is Kent Crockery LTD, which offers cost-effective and on-trend tableware hire to weddings, events, planners, and caterers.
