Professional Academy
Cambridge-based academy benefits from the Coronavirus Business Interruption Scheme (CBILS)
Meet Professional Academy, the world's leading provider of apprenticeships, training, and accredited qualifications in marketing, digital marketing, sales, management, and leadership. Founder, Martin Hutchins, was able to receive funds to support his business and its future through CBILS delivered by the team at Let’s Do Business Finance.
The Cambridge-based business received working capital support and funding to support the future development of Professional Academy. Fast forward from 2002 to 2020, Professional Academy is now a valued part of the local community and is going from strength-to-strength as a result of our business support and funding.
Graham Johnson, Business Manager at Let’s Do Business Finance, said “It was a pleasure to help Martin with his application and to support him with the funds to meet his business needs. The highly professional and experienced management team are well placed to lead and develop the opportunities which the enhanced initiatives will provide for both apprentices and businesses. Professional Academy is a great business run by enthusiastic and capable people, It undoubtedly has a great future and is a business which we have been pleased to be a part of its development.”
Martin said, “With Let’s Do Business Finance making the CBILS process as simple as possible it allowed us as an organisation to focus on supporting our learners and partners to continue delivery uninterrupted, as well as to develop new business relationships allowing us not only to continue to grow but focus on the future beyond the pandemic.”
Grassroots
After a decade working in learning and development, Martin saw the potential for a training company different from the rest, people-focused with flexibility at its core, and so Professional Academy was born. The organisation offers accredited qualifications with an understanding of the challenges faced daily in the workplace and is dedicated to combating these with solutions.
With a long standing history of helping businesses and apprentices develop their skills and learning with tailored training and bespoke Learning Management Systems, in 2015, the company reached their next stage of growth as they launched the International Partner Network, making the same high standard of professional training available globally. In 2017 Professional Academy expanded their scope for delivery to include government funded apprenticeship programmes in Sales, Marketing, and Management supporting some of the UK’s biggest and most recognisable brands.
What was once a one-man band, is now an established, growing company with a head office team of 14+, as well as a network of trainers and mentors committed to setting the highest standards for learning and development across the world.
