Successful Start Up September

The Let’s Do Business Group Start Up September campaign was a hit. The team are pleased to have been able to support so many aspiring entrepreneurs beginning their business journey, especially in these uncertain and difficult times. 

September may be over, but during the month the team supported 41 new businesses with successful Start Up Loan applications. In addition, the team have provided support to a further 70 entrepreneurs across East Sussex and Kent with 20 going onto the Group’s popular start up programmes – Her Biz and Ready for Business.

Graham Marley Group Chief Executive said “In these really challenging times, with increasing levels of unemployment we thought we should be increasing our support for people who are thinking about starting their own business. Even in the middle of a pandemic new businesses can be a success – they just need to be well planned and appropriately financed. The success of Start Up September has been two-fold – to increase the number of people we have supported, and hopefully lay strong foundations on which new businesses can start.”

As an accredited delivery partner of The Start Up Loan Company, Let’s Do Business Group provide loans from as little as £500 to £25k at a fixed interest rate of 6%, no set up or early repayment fees with expert business advice included to guide clients on becoming their own boss. This year already the Group have lent more than £1.5m to start-up businesses across South East and Eastern England.
