Join us in celebrating businesses in Hastings & Rother!
This year, local business support organisation based in Hastings, Let’s Do Business Group, turns 30 years old! To celebrate three decades of providing business support and training to Start Ups and SMEs across the Southeast and East of England, we’ve brought back the 1066 Business Awards.
Spanning 8 categories, businesses across the Hastings and Rother areas in East Sussex had the chance to enter the awards which recognised their impact on our communities and local economy. Set to take place on Thursday 6th June, the awards will be presented at The Montgomerie Suite, Bannatynes Hotel in Hastings. Starting at midday, the afternoon will include a welcome drink and two-course luncheon.
As well as the presentation of the awards, we will also be hearing from two keynote speakers. Our first speaker that we’re pleased to announce is Rachel Watkyn from Tiny Box Company. Rachel is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur who appeared on the BBC programme ‘Dragon’s Den’. Her business, which was first started from scratch in a bedroom 16 years ago, now employs over 90 staff at her location in Uckfield. Our second incredible speaker is Rich Moore from The Source BMX in Hastings. The UK’s leading BMX specialist which started up over 20 years ago back in Bexhill has since grown, with stores across the UK, USA, and Germany.
With thanks to our sponsors Holland Harper, Heringtons Solicitors, Beaming, Marshall-Tufflex, Lightning Fibre, TE Connectivity, AAK BD Foods, & Goldstar IT Consultancy.
